The Group's principal activity is to supply complete plants, equipment, single machine units, spare parts and services to the global cement industry. The Group's operations are carried out through three segments: Cement, Minerals and Cembrit. The Cement segment supplies complete production plants, equipment, machines, spare parts, know-how, service and maintenance to the global cement industry. The Minerals segment provides a complete selection of engineered products that can be applied to the various phases of mining and ore processing activities such as underground mining operations, minerals processing and treatment of mine wastes. The Cembrit segment produces and distributes fibre cement products. It operates globally. In 2008 the Group acquired Pneumapress Filter Corporation,Cembrit Pro-Tile,Cembrit SpA.
