Thomson Financial Business Description:
| The Group's principal activities are to provide sea borne transportation services through carrier vessels. They carry dry bulk cargo which includes iron ore, coal and grain, collectively referred to as major bulks and steel products, fertilizers, cement, bauxite, sugar and scrap metal, collectively referred to as minor bulks. The Group provides services usual market rates and included technical management, such as managing day-to-day vessel operations including supervising the crewing, supplying, maintaining and drydocking of vessels, commercial management regarding identifying suitable vessel charter and sale/purchase opportunities and certain accounting services. As of 15-May-2008, the Group owned a fleet 40 vessels and, together with 7 Panamax vessels under bareboat charters, operate 47 vessels (4 Capesize, 14 Kamsarmax, 21 Panamax, 2 Supramax and 6 Handymax), with a total carrying capacity of approximately 3.7 million dwt. |
