| The Group's principal activity is manufacturing pulp and paper in Chile. It operates five businesses: Forestry, Pulp, Paper, Tissue and Paper Products. Forestry is in charge of the development and management of forest assets to support the industrial development of the Group. Pulp produces long and short fibre wood pulp which is sold in Europe, the Americas and Asia. Paper is involved in the production and marketing of folding boxboard, corrugated materials and newsprint. Tissue includes the production and marketing of tissue products in the toilet paper category, disposable handkerchiefs, napkins and paper towels. Paper products manufactures corrugated cardboard boxes for fruit and salmon, industrial materials and wine, school and office stationery items, paper bags and laminated packing papers, multiwall paper sacks and moulded pulp trays for apple, avocado, pear and eggs. It owns industrial plants in Chile, Argentina, Peru and Uruguay. |
