| The Group's principal activities are to explore, develop, produce and market natural gas and crude oil. The Group explores in the United States, Canada, Trinidad, the United Kingdom and other selected international areas. The products of the Group are currently being sold on the spot market and under long-term contracts at market responsive prices. The Group's principal producing areas in the United States include the West Texas, Southeast New Mexico, Big Piney area, Southwest Wyoming area. The producing areas also include Vernal area, Upper Texas Coast, Sabine Uplift Region, Mississippi Salt Basin and others. In Canada, the Group operates in the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. In July 2008, it acquired ConocoPhillips. |
