The Group's principal activity is operating as a diversified energy company with a portfolio of natural gas, electric businesses and an affiliated real estate company. It operates the following business units: US Franchised Electric and Gas: Generates, transmits, distributes and sells electricity to its customers. Commercial Power: Owns, operates and manages non-regulated merchant power plants and the wholesale marketing and procurement of electric power, fuel and emission allowances related to these plants and other contractual positions. International Energy: Operates and manages power generation facilities and markets electric power and natural gas outside the US. Crescent: Develops and manages commercial, residential and multi-family real estate projects.
