Thomson Financial Business Description:
| The Group's principal activity is to supply rotating equipment solutions to the worldwide oil, gas, petrochemical and industrial process industries. It operates through two segments. The New Units segment manufacture highly-engineered turbo and reciprocating compression equipment and steam turbines. It also manufacture special-purpose gas turbines. The Aftermarket Parts and Services segment offer a range of aftermarket parts and services including installation, maintenance, monitoring, operation, repairs, overhauls and upgrades. The services and products are used for a range of applications including oil and gas production, refinery processes etc. It has manufacturing facilities in the U.S, France, Germany, Norway, India and Brazil and 26 service and support centers worldwide. On 05 April 2007, the Group acquired Gimpel business from Tyco Flow Control, a reporting unit of Tyco International. |
