The Group's principal activities are to provide mortgage banking, banking, institutional securities operations and insurance agency activities. The services are provided by its subsidiaries namely Doral Bank, Doral Bank FSB, Doral Insurance Agency Inc, Doral Securities Inc and Doral Properties Inc. As of 31-Dec-2008, the group operates 41 branches in Puerto Rico. The primary business of the Group includes origination, purchase, sale and servicing of Mortgage loans. The Group also issues and sells various types of mortgage-backed securities and other investment securities.
