The Group's principal activity is to generate, transmit, distribute and sell gas and electric energy. It operates through three segments: Dominion Virginia Power (DVP), Dominion Energy and Dominion Generation. It also reports Corporate and Other as a segment. DVP includes regulated electric transmission, distribution and customer service operations, as well as nonregulated retail energy marketing operations. Dominion Energy includes Ohio regulated natural gas Distribution Company, regulated gas transmission pipeline and storage operations, regulated LNG operations and Appalachian natural gas E&P business. It also produces and markets natural gas. Dominion Generation includes the generation operations of our merchant fleet and regulated electric utility. It serves the supply requirements for DVP segment's utility customers.
