| The Group's principal activity is contract drilling of offshore oil and gas wells. The Group provides deep water drilling with a fleet of 44 offshore rigs. The fleet is comprised of 30 semisubmersible, 13 jack-up rigs and one drillship. It also has 2 jack-up drilling rigs, the Ocean Scepter and the Ocean Shield, under construction at shipyards in Brownsville, Texas and Singapore, respectively. The customers include independent oil and gas companies and government-owned oil companies. Major customers of the Group are Petroleo Brasileiro S A, BP and Murphy Exploration and Production Company. The Group markets its services in the Gulf of Mexico, Europe, principally the United Kingdom, sector of the North Sea, South America, Africa, Australia and Southeast Asia. |
