| The Group's principal activities are growing and harvesting timber and manufacturing and marketing lumber. The Group operates under four segments: Mills, Woodlands, Real Estate and Corporate. The Group's Mills segment produces dimension lumber, boards, boards, timbers, decking and finger-jointed studs. The lumber segment is sold to wholesaler's distributors, lumber treaters and truss manufacturers and treaters in the South and Midwest which are used in residential construction, roof trusses and laminated beams. Woodlands segment manages 438,600 acres of timberland in Arkansas and north Louisiana. Real Estate segment operates and develops property in stages and real estate sales consists of residential lots sold to builders or individuals and commercial tracts. Corporate segment consists of executive management, accounting, information systems, human resources, purchasing, treasury, income tax and legal staff functions. |
