The Group's principal activities are brewing and packaging beer, distributing wines and spirits, and operating hotels and public houses. The principal activities of the Brewery Division are brewing, retailing of beers, wines and spirits and minerals, wholesaling, canning and bottling. The Brewery owns and operates over 420 pubs, a mix of tenanted, managed and leased, throughout the North of England, the Midlands and North Wales. The Group's hotel division, Shire Hotels, operates 7 hotels throughout England. In addition it owns and runs the Stafford Hotel in London.
