| The Group is a supplier of premium passenger cars as well as the manufacturer of commercial vehicles. The Group's activities are carried out through the divisions Mercedes-Benz Cars, Daimler Trucks, Daimler Financial Services as well as Vans, Buses, Other. Mercedes-Benz Cars supplies the premium vehicles (Mercedes-Benz (MB), MB AMG, MB McLaren and Maybach) as well as the small cars of the smart brand. The Daimler Trucks develops and produces vehicles within a worldwide network (MB, Freightliner, Sterling, Western Star, Thomas Built Buses and Mitsubishi Fuso). The Daimler Financial Services division supports sales of the Group's automotive brands with tailored finance and leasing packages, but also provides services such as insurance and fleet management. The Vans, Buses, Other segment, comprises the MB Vans and Daimler Buses, the Group's shareholdings in EADS, Chrysler Holding, the real estate activities and the holding and finance companies. |
