| The Group's principal activity is that of a real estate company specializing in the ownership, acquisition, development and management of bulk distribution and light industrial properties located in 24 distribution markets in the United States and Mexico. In addition, it manages and owns interests in industrial properties through its institutional capital management program. As of 31-Dec-2007, it owned interests in, or managed, 448 industrial real estate buildings comprised of approximately 74.4 million square feet. Its portfolio of consolidated operating properties included 382 industrial real estate buildings, which consisted of 222 bulk distribution properties, 118 light industrial properties and 43 service center properties comprised of approximately 52.0 million square feet. In 2007, the Group acquired 27 operating properties. |
