| The Group's principal activity is to develop, manufacture and sell medical technologies to enable the practice of regenerative medicine. Regenerative medicine describes the emerging field that aims to repair or restore lost or damaged organ and cell function. The Group operates in two segments. The Regenerative Cell Technology segment is focused on the discovery and development of cell-based therapies for cardiovascular disease, spine and orthopedic conditions, gastrointestinal disorders and new approaches for aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. The MacroPore Biosurgery division manufactures and distributes the HYDROSORBTM family of bioresorbable spine and orthopedic implants. The division also develops the thin Film bioresorbable implants for Senko Medical Trading Co, which has exclusive distribution rights to these products in Japan. The Group operates throughout the United States. |
