| The Group's principal activities are to research, develop and distribute antiinfective products that address unmet medical needs in the acute care environment. The Group's main product being CUBICIN(R), which is used for the treatment of complicated skin and skin structure infections. The Group's pre-clinical trials pipeline include: Lipopeptide programs (Gram-positive and Gram-negative), CDAD program and Cubist natural product screening. The Lipopeptide programs focuses on the evaluation of product candidates to treat infections caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens. The CDAD program focuses on developing non-antibiotic, toxin binder therapy for C. difficile associated diarrhea. The Cubist natural product screening focuses on screening for novel antimicrobial drug candidates. The Group operates in the United States. In Dec 2007, the group acquired Illumigen. |
