The principal activity of the Group is the provision of global financial services including a range of banking and insurance products. It operates through three divisions. Private Banking (services for private investors in Switzerland and internationally); Investment Banking (financial advisory and capital raising services, sales and trading for users and suppliers of capital around the world) and Asset Management (offers investment products i.e. equities, fixed income, commodities, real estate, hedge funds; manages portfolios, mutual funds and other investments). The Group operates in Switzerland, EMEA, Americas and Asia Pacific. During the year 2008 the Group acquired AMF.
