The Group's principal activities are operating self-service stores, joint associations to operate members-only stores, and a chain of restaurants. Its self-service stores sell a wide variety of food items, including basic groceries and perishables, and non-food items, which include general merchandise and clothing. It owns 214 stores and 71 restaurants which include Comercial Mexicana, Bodega, Mega, Costco, Sumesa and Restaurantes California, Alprecio and City Market.
