| The Group's principal activities are manufacturing and marketing processed and packaged foods. It operates in three segments. The Consumer Foods segment includes branded, private label and customized food products that are sold in various retail and foodservice channels. Products include a variety of categories across frozen, refrigerated and shelf-stable temperature classes. The Food and Ingredients segment includes commercially branded foods and ingredients that are sold principally to foodservice, food manufacturing and industrial customers. The International Foods segment includes branded food products that are sold principally in retail channels in North America, Europe and Asia. At 23-06-2008, the Group completed the sale of its domestic and international grain merchandising, fertilizer distribution, and commodities trading and merchandising operations. |
