The Group's principal activities are production of minerals, including salt, sulphate of potash speciality fertilizer and magnesium chloride. It provides highway deicing salt to customers in North America and the United Kingdom and specialty fertilizer to growers worldwide. The Group also provides records management services to businesses throughout the United Kingdom. It operates in two segments: Salt and Specialty Fertilizer. The Salt segment produces salt and magnesium chloride for use in road deicing and dust control, food processing, water softeners, pool salt and agricultural and industrial applications. The Specialty Fertilizer produces and markets sulphate of potash crop nutrients and industrial grade SOP.
