The Group's principal activities are to design, manufacture and market lasers, laser-based systems, precision optics and related accessories for a diverse group of customers. Its products address a range of applications which includes the markets such as microelectronics, materials processing, original equipment manufactures (OEM) components and instrumentation and scientific research and government programs. It operates in two segments, Commercial Lasers and Components (CLC) and Specialty Lasers and Systems (SLS). CLC's primary markets include OEM components and instrumentation and materials processing. SLS develops and manufactures configurable products serving the microelectronics and scientific research markets. The Group operates in United States, Japan, Germany, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
