The Group's principal activities are to operate railway transportation service and departmental chain stores. The operations are carried out mainly through the following divisions: Transportation, Distribution, Real Estate and Other. The Transportation division is engaged in passenger train transport, cargo train transports and coach travels. The Distribution division is engaged in the operation of departmental stores in JR Central towers, sales on trains and platforms. The Real estate division is engaged in leasing of station buildings. Others division is engaged in management of hotels, travel agencies and advertising agents.
