| The Group's principal activity is to operate a chain of food retail outlets. The Group distributes food supplies through hypermarkets, supermarkets, discount stores and mini markets. The Group offers a range of products such as sauces, vinegar, olive oil, spices, frozen vegetables and meat, vine and animal food. As on 31-Dec-2008, the Group operated 117 hypermarkets, 756 supermarkets, mini market,6794 and 530 discount stores. The Group operates mainly in France, Latin America and Asia. In 2008, the Group acquired Intexa,Naturalia, Mercialys and Super de Boer. |
