| The Group's principal activity is to operate convenience stores under the name 'Casey's General Store'. It operates in nine Midwestern states, primarily Iowa, Missouri and Illinois. The stores carry a broad selection of food including freshly prepared foods such as pizza, donuts and sandwiches; beverages; tobacco products; health and beauty aids; automotive products and other non-food items. The stores also offer gasoline for sale on a self-service basis. On April 30, 2007, there were a total of 1,463 Casey's General Stores, of which it operated 1,448 stores and 15 stores operated by franchisees. It built and opened 8 stores and acquired 52 stores in fiscal 2007. It operates solely in the domestic market. |
