The Group's principal activities are retail and distribution of household products and provisions. As of December 31, 2008, Carrefoursa operated a store network of 22 hypermarkets and 125 supermarkets countrywide. Carrefoursa offers a product selection of over 50,000 food and non-food items, cooperating with more than 1,500 food and non-food product manufacturers. Hypermarkets offer a wide range of food and non-food products. The Group expanded its organizational structure with the acquisition of Gima stores.
