The Group's principal activity is retail distribution of household products and provisions. It comprises of 15,430 shops operating through a chain of hypermarkets and supermarkets and small stores. Hypermarkets offer a wide range of food and non-food products. Supermarkets offer a wide selection of mostly food products through the outlet, Champion. The food products are available in the market under the hard discount stores with a maximum discount throughout the year. The Group operates under the brand names Carrefour, Dia, Tierra du Columbia, and Reflets de France. The Group operates in Europe, Asia and Latin America. In 2008, the Group acquired PT Alfa Retailindo Tbk and Cross System Company.
