The Group's principal activity is that of a Real Estate Investment Trust. It owns interests in income producing multi-unit residential properties including apartment buildings and townhouses complexes. The Group competes for suitable real property investments with individuals, corporations and institutions both Canadian and foreign and other real estate investment trusts. As at 31-Dec-2008 the Group has 27,614 residential suites and two Ontario adult lifestyle land lease communities comprising 1,278 sites.
