The Group's principal activities are exporting various commodity products such as alumina, aluminium ingots, iron ore and steel and importing other commodities and manufactured goods such as vehicle and industrial batteries, tyres, alloy wheels and various metals such as steel and aluminium extrusion products. Other activities include operating manganese mining, selling refined manganese products, operating the Portland Aluminium Smelter which sources alumina and produces aluminium ingots, operating oilfields, selling crude oil and related products, operating coal mines and selling coal. Operations are carried out in Hong Kong, British Virgin Islands, the People's Republic of China, the Netherlands and Australia.
