The Group's principal activity is to provide building products and construction services to professional homebuilders and contractors in western and southern regions of the United States. It distributes building products, manufactures building components (millwork, floor and roof trusses and wall panels) and provides construction services to professional builders and contractors through a network of 43 distribution facilities, 29 manufacturing facilities and 5 regional construction services facilities. In June 2008, it acquired the remaining 40% interest in SelectBuild Mechanical. In June 2008, the Group discontinued its concrete block masonry and concrete services business and truss manufacturing business in Florida. In March 2008, it discontinued framing services in Virginia.
