| The Group's principal activity is to manufacture surface mining equipment and supplies replacement parts and offer services for such machines. The products are draglines, electric mining shovels and rotary blasthole drills. The Group also manufactures and sells replacement parts and components for mining machines and provides comprehensive after-sales service for entire mining machinery. The products are sold primarily to companies and quasi-governmental entities engaged in the mining of copper, coal, oil sands and iron ore. The products and services are marketed under the Bucyrus name in Australia, China, Germany, Poland, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, the Czech Republic, England, India, Mexico, Peru, Russia, South Africa, and the United States. |
