| The Group's principal activity is to provide helicopter services to the worldwide offshore energy industry. It has operations in the major offshore oil and gas producing regions of the world which includes North Sea, the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, Nigeria and Australia. As of May 2008, the Group operates a fleet of 548 aircraft (406 in consolidated fleet and 142 in unconsolidated fleet). In addition, the Group is approved to provide helicopter flight training to the commercial pilot and flight instructor level by both the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and the European Joint Aviation Authority. It has international operations in Europe, West Africa, Southeast Asia, Egypt, India, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Mauritania, Morocco, Russia and Turkmenistan. On 02-Nov-2007, the Group sold its Grasso business, which comprised of Production Management Services segment. On 02-Apr-2007, the Group acquired Helicopter Adventures Inc. |
