The Group's principal activity is that of a professional soccer club based in Dortmund, Germany. The Group is the first German soccer club which was transformed from a private association into a publicly held company. The Group's shares became listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on 31 Oct 2000. The Group has only domestic subsidiaries.
