| The Group's principal activity is to produce and distribute cheese and dairy products. The Group operates under three major segments, Cheese products, Other dairy products and Gastronomy. Under Cheese, the Group offers soft, veined and reduced fat cheeses, cheese spreads, cream cheese and cheese sauces. Under Other diary products, the Group offers yoghurts, fats, dairy proteins, powdered milk and foodstuffs for rearing of calves. Under Gastronomy, the Group offers industrial products such as butter, fresh creams, chocolate cream and cream desserts. The Group operates in France, Germany, Europe, Spain and the United States. During 2008, the Group acquired Kikindska, Compagnie Fromagere SA, Compagnie des Fromages & RichesMonts, Fromapac SA, Jilin Dairy Group, Esbon, Vezpremtej, Mleko Produkt, Liptovska Mliekaren AS and Compagnie Laitiere Europeenne. |
