| The Group's principal activity is the retail distribution of consumer electronics, home-office products, entertainment software, appliances and related services. It operates in two segments: Domestic and International. The Domestic segment is comprised of U.S. Best Buy, Magnolia Audio Video and U.S. Geek Sqad operations. The U.S. Best Buy stores offer consumer electronics, home-office equipment, entertainment software, appliances and related services. The Magnolia Audio Video stores offer audio and video products and services from 20 stores located in California, Washington and Oregon. U.S. Geek Squad offers computer repair, support and installation services. The International segment is comprised of Future Shop and Best Buy operations in Canada. It operates its retail stores under the brand names Best Buy, Future Shop, Magnolia Audio Video and Geek Squad and an outlet store on eBay. As of 03-Mar-2007, the Group had 868 stores domestically and internationally. |
