The Group's principal activity is the provision of integrated solutions of financial, banking and insurance products. It operates in two main areas of business: Asset Management, carried out by the "product" companies BG SGR and BG Fiduciaria SIM S.p.A. and prospectively BG Investment Luxembourg; this business line also includes asset management activity of Banca BSI Italia. Banking activities and the sale of financial services, carried out through the Parent Company Banca Generali, the network of advisors employed directly by Banca Generali, the wealth managers network of Banca BSI Italia and the specialised distribution network of Simgenia's insurance channel. It operates through a network of 42 Bank Branches and 151 Advisor Offices throughout Italy. On October 1, 2008 the Group bought Banca del Gottardo Italia SpA.
