Bulgarian Rose Sevtopolis AD Kazanlak (Bulgarska roza Svetopolis AD Kazanlak) is a Bulgaria-based company engaged in the production and distribution of pharmaceuticals and ethereal oils. The Company’s business is mainly divided into two areas: production of pharmaceuticals and phyto-chemical production. Production of pharmaceuticals includes the production of finished solid dosage forms, as well as coated and not coated tablets and capsules. Phyto-chemical production is the production of active pharmaceutical substances based on plant materials (extracts, expeller) which later are processed and used for the manufacture of drugs. The Company distributes its products under two main brand names, Carsil and Tempalgin. As of December 31, 2011, the Company’s major shareholder was Sopharma AD with a stake of 49.99%.
