| The Group's principal activity is providing general insurance and reinsurance services. The Group is organised into three underwriting centres with each representing a strategic business units that offers varying products and serves different markets. The London Market Underwriting Centre deals with wholesale buyers of insurance, not individuals. Risks are largely and usually syndicated by several underwriters. The United Kingdom Centre is developing business opportunities with the general commercial insurance markets through both wholesale and retail broker and has opened offices in key locations across the United Kingdom. Reinsurance provides non-proportional cover for major events such as earthquakes or hurricanes. |
