The Group's principal activity is the provision of banking services. It operates under the following segments. FRENCH RETAIL BANKING provides services to private individuals, companies and professionals. INTERNATIONAL RETAIL BANKING comprises of activities of Bancwest Corp and BNPI groups. SPECIALISED FINANCIAL SERVICES provides consumer credit, financial services for business, car and truck leasing, computer hardware leasing, real estate financing and direct retail banking services. ASSET MANAGEMENT and CAPITAL MARKET sectors provide advice on existing portfolio and direct investments and manage or advise funds set up. The Group operates in Europe, the United States, Asia and Oceania. In 2008, the Group acquired SREI Equipment Finance Private Ltd, Banco BGN, Steen & Strom Group.
