Thomson Financial Business Description:
| The Group's principal activities are carried out through seven business units: Carbon Steel Materials, Petroleum, Aluminium, Base Metals, Energy Coal, Stainless Steel Materials and Diamonds and Specialty Products. Carbon Steel Materials involves producing and marketing metallurgical coal, iron ore and manganese. Petroleum involves exploring, developing and producing hydrocarbons, such as oil, gas and LNG. Aluminium involves producing bauxite, aluminium and alumina. Base Metals involves producing copper, silver, zinc, lead, uranium, and copper by-products, such as gold and molybdenum. Energy Coal involves producing and marketing energy coal for use in electricity generation. Stainless Steel Materials involves producing and marketing nickel. Diamonds and Specialty Products involve producing and marketing diamonds and titanium minerals. The Group operates in Europe, China, Japan, Australia, North America, South Korea, Southern Africa and South America. |
