| The Group's principal activities are to provide telecommunication services, internet access, data service and video services to residential, business and wholesale customers in Canada. The Group operates in four segments, namely, Bell Wireline, Bell Wireless, Bell Aliant and Telesat. The Bell Wireline segment provides local telephone, long distance, data, video and other services. The Bell Wireless segment provides wireless voice and data communication services. The Bell Aliant segment provides local telephone, long distance, internet, data, wireless ICT and other services. The Telesat segment provides satellite communication, system management and also consulting services in establishing, operating and updating satellite system worldwide. On 31-Oct-2007, the Group sold investment in Telesat. The Group provides services under the brand name Bell. It provides services to residnetial, small and medium sized business and enterprises. |
