| The Group's principal activity is distributing electronic components, enterprise networks, computer equipments and embedded subsystems. It operates through two segments: Electronics Marketing and Technology Solutions. Electronics Marketing distributes semiconductors, interconnect, passive and electromechanical devices and radio frequency components. The Technology Solutions segment markets mid-to high-end servers, data storage, software and networking solutions and the services required to implement these solutions to the enterprise computing customers. Its customers are across the end markets including communications, computer hardware and peripheral, industrial and manufacturing, medical equipment and military and aerospace. It operates in the United States, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. On 31-July-2008, it acquired Ontrack Solutions Pvt Ltd. On 29-Dec-2008, it acquired Nippon Denso Industry Co Ltd. On 01-Jan-2009, the Group acquired Abacus Group plc. |
