| The Group's principal activities are processing and manufacturing of food and retailing of textile. The Group's operations are carried out through five divisions. Grocery manufactures hot beverages and sugar and sweeteners, vegetable oils, bread and baked goods, ethnic foods, herbs and spices and meat and dairy. Retail offers products such as womenswear, lingerie, childrenswear, menswear, footwear, accessories, hosiery and homewear through its Primark and Penneys retail chains. Sugar processes sugar beet and sugar cane for sale to industrial users and to Silver Spoon, which is included in the grocery segment. Agriculture manufactures animal feeds and provides other products for the agricultural sector. Ingredients focuses on yeast, bread improvers, dough conditioners, bakery mixes, yeast extracts, emulsifiers, sterols and esters, enzymes, natural sweeteners and excipients. |
