| The Group's principal activity is the production, processing and distribution of steel products. The Group operates in four key market segments - Flat Carbon Steel, Long Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Arcelor Steel Solutions and Services. Under Flat Carbon Steel division, the Group's products cater to automotive industry, household appliances and heavy plates markets. Under Long Carbon Steel, the Group produces blooms and billets, bars and rebars, wire rod and wire products, beams, angles, channels, sheet piles and rails. Under Stainless Steel, the Group produces stainless steel and nickel alloys. Arcelor Mittal Steel Solutions and Services (AM3S) is a comprehensive group of the joined Arcelor and Mittal businesses which markets standard and processed steel and offer steel solutions. In 2006, the Group acquired Ewald Giebel and Dofasco. On 25-Jun-2006, Mittal Steel acquired 94% share capital of the Group. |
