The Group's principal activities are to design, manufacture and market electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, coaxial and flat-ribbon cable and interconnect systems. It operates in two segments: Interconnect Products and Assemblies segment produces interconnect products and assemblies primarily for voice, video and data communication systems, commercial aerospace and military systems, automotive and mass transportation applications and industry and factory automations equipment. Cable Products segment designs, manufactures and markets coaxial cable and flat-ribbon cable primarily for use in the cable television industry and telecommunications. The products are sold to original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers, cable system operators and telecommunication companies and through manufacturers' representatives and distributors. The major brand names include Amphenol, Times Fiber, TucheTuchel, Socapex, Sine, Spectra-Strip and others.
