The Group's principal activities are to design, market and sell merchandise goods. It includes the retail distribution of casual apparel, accessories and footwear for men and women. It also offers a stylish assortment of cool accessories, clothing, outerwear and footwear under the brand names American Eagle Outfitters(R) and AE(R). The Group also operates via the e-commerce operation at ae.com. As of 31-Jan-2009, the Group operated 954 stores and 28 MARTIN + OSA stores in the United States and Canada.
