The Group's principal activities are to design, manufacture and supply aerospace and defense products to the United States government and prime contractors. It also supplies ammunition and related accessories to law enforcement agencies and commercial customers. The Group operates through three segments: Armament Systems, Mission Systems and Space Systems. The Armament systems segment develops and produces military ammunition and gun systems, commercial products and propellant and energetic materials. The Mission Systems operates in two business lanes, Weapon Systems and Aerospace Systems. The Space Systems produces rocket motor systems for human and cargo launch vehicles, conventional and strategic missiles, missile defense interceptors, small and micro-satellites, satellite components, structures and subsystems, lightweight space deployables and solar arrays, and provides engineering and technical services. On 31-Mar-2009, the Group acquired Eagle Industries.
