The Group's principal activities are to produce oil and develop oil fields and oil exploration in Russia. The Group operates in two segments: Crude Oil and Oil Products. The Group operates in three of Russia's largest oil basins: Western Siberia, Timano-Pechora and and Volga-Urals. In 2008 the Group merged with Alliance Oil Company.
