| The Group's principal activities are designing, manufacturing and marketing a proprietary system for treating malocclusion or the misalignment of teeth. The system branded as Invisalign (R), corrects malocclusion using a series of clear, removable appliances that gently move teeth to a desired final position. The Invisalign system has two components: ClinCheck and Aligners. ClinCheck is an internet-based application that allows orthodontists to simulate treatment in three dimensions by modeling two-week stages of tooth movement. Aligners are thin, clear plastic, removable dental appliances that correspond to each stage of the ClinCheck simulation. The products are sold in the United States, Europe, Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil, Australia and Hong Kong. |
