| The Group's principal activities are to provide marine transportation and real estate services. The Group operates in four business segments: Domestic Dry-Bulk, Product Tankers, Ocean Shipping and Real Estate. The Domestic Dry-Bulk segment operates through the Seaway Marine Transport partnership. The Dry-bulk vessels carry cargoes of raw materials such as coal, grain, iron ore, salt and aggregates and operate throughout the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Waterway, from the Gulf of St. Lawrence through all five Great Lakes. The Product Tanker segment carries petroleum products on the Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence Seaway and the east coast of North America. The Ocean Shipping segment includes ownership of one ocean-going self-unloader. The Real Estate segment includes the ownership and management of commercial real estate in Sault Ste. Marie, St. Catharines and Waterloo, Ontario. |
