The Group's principal activity is to provide core bio-analytical and electronic measurement solutions to the communications, electronics, life sciences and chemical analysis industries. The Group operates through two segments: Electronic measurement segment provides standard and customized electronic measurement instruments and systems, monitoring, management and optimization tools for communications networks and services, software design tools and related services. Bio-analytical measurement provides application-focused solutions that include instruments, software, consumables and services that enable customers to identify quantify and analyze the physical and biological properties of substances and products. In April 2008, the Group completed the acquisition of TILL Photonics GmbH and in June 2008 RVM Scientific Inc.
