| Aeroporti di Roma (ADR), established in 1974, operates the two airports which serve Rome: L. Da Vinci airport, located in Fiumicino and G.B. Pastine airport, located in Ciampino. The group provides airlines with assistance on the ground as well as air traffic control; ADR also manages the airport's commercial operations. The company's activities include airport handling services, collection of airport taxes and catering services such as the preparation and supply of in-flight meals and refreshments. The group is also involved in managing and sub-letting sales outlets, bars and restaurants, along with the running of car parking facilities. Handling services accounted for 32% of 2000 revenues; airport fees, 21%; contract work, 12%; sub-letting income, 12%; duty free shops, 8%; security services, 4%; parking, 3%; advertising, 2% and other, 6%. |
